This is one of my all time favorites. That the guy looks like an incognito John Candy only makes it that much better!

    • Judie says:

You’re right! He does! Umm.. what’s up with the weapon though? And this is a professional portrait sitting?! Can you imagine what the photographer was thinking? LOL.

      • Georgia says:

Do you think the photographer had props and let them pick these out? There’s a scary thought! And you are right, this looks like a professional portrait in a studio. The more I look at this, the scarier it becomes!

  2. lph says:

Oh gawd.. can’t get over the soft focus turning this into a “sweet, romantic photo”…

  3. SpecialGirlE says:

    Is that Ron Jeremy?

Michigan Militia? This is the last picture of this family. You see, during a heavy fire fight Alice reached for another clip, not realizing she had grabbed her long time comrade “Birdy” and tried forcing him into the rifle. Burt lost them both that day and has a memorial next to his bed.

  8. tiffany says:

fun things we found on our trip to cuba!

  9. Laurie says:

Isn’t this the same couple from the Martial Arts picture at AFP? Ya know- the one with the kid doing the splits and the flaming toe of death? I think I’d bet money on it…

  10. Mary says:

I can’t help but think I would’ve gone with the crossbow. ;) tee hee

  11. Bodine says:

Maybe it’s Parrot-Skeet; “Ready? Pull!!!” Bayonet for near-misses.

  12. Melissa says:

This guy is thinking,”My three favorite things. bayonets, babes, and birds!”

  13. tori says:

remind me not to make them mad

  14. Bob says:

I think they might be Republicans……

  15. Tigerlilly says:

The bird is their eye-in-the-sky. Rednecks can’t afford helicopters. The pink looks so feminine on her…is that an Adams apple?

  16. Lee says:

I swear it looks like the guy is pointing the bird like it shoots RPGs out of its mouth or something….

  17. gunnar-medial says:

Bonnie and Clyde masquerading behind a parrot ?

  18. Doreen says:

OMG, I love this insane photograph of this couple! If I’m not wrong I could swear the women has a purse on her lap, it makes you wonder if she has ammunition inside it.

  19. karen says:

I would have opted for a crossbow. Less apt to make my a$$ look fat

  20. Todd says:

“Tie a yellow ribbon round the old AK”

  21. Anne says:

She’s like, “Look at my man and his parrot all you want, but don’t touch. . . they’re MINE.”

  22. Georgia says:

You can tell they live by the motto, “It is better to have a parrot and not need one, than need one and not have it.” It’s the slogan of the NBA (National Bird Association)

  23. Cameron says:

It’s like a new “American Gothic” painting (remember the guy with the pitchfork and the stern-looking lady in front of the farmhouse?) only reversed. I love it!

  24. Noah says:

If you read /Armed America/ you will see that many armed Americans favor parrots as companions.

Though I must say that an AR-15 or Mosin Nagant 91/30 coordinates better with an Amazon than does an AK-47 with bayonet.

  25. ricky says:

interesting………love the gun with the knife its cool………….wonder what the taking the photo was thinking

  26. Skooby says:

All that is missing to make this the ideal romantic photo is an image of a goblet. That would be the perfect Christmas card to all their fellow militia members.

  27. Jojo says:

    WTF?! Must be americans!

  28. jana says:

this is. the best picture. ever.

  29. taniaaust1 says:

Its a strange photo. One looks at it and finds it disturbing and has to really figure out why.

  30. Your by no means to old to start your Martial Arts Training, having said that you do have to bear in mind at our age your body takes longer to recoup.
